uFOE - pixel pinch with aliens

uFOE (2015-Present)

uFOE began as a university project in 2015 and is planned to hit iOS and Android in 2016. The player controls Alfie the Alien, a hovering UFO. Their mission is to abduct fleeing humans on the ground for research. As the player captures more and more humans they can upgrade their abilities and visit different time zones (cavemen, roman, dark ages, modern day, futuristic etc). If humans are left to flee for too long they will partner up and invent something deadly to destroy the player!

Pixel Pinch - mobile thieves

Pixel Pinch (2015)

A very simplistic tap and go mobile game designed to skip five minutes in anybody's day. Pixel Pinch was my first game to hit the iOS world, however, due complications among my team the game is currently unavailable for download. However, I regard it as a huge milestone as the first mobile game of mine to be released.

Ghosts & Goblins - the 1980s throwback

Ghosts & Goblins Remake (2015)

As one of my units for University was to recreate the classic arcade game Ghosts and Goblins using modern technology, me and my team selected the Unity game engine. Our task was to completely recreate, from scratch, the first stage from the 1985 classic, including all enemies, weapons and bosses. The final product was more than what we expected creating an almost identical remaster with very few differences.

Bored2Death - fun via depression

Bored2Death (January 2015 Global Game Jam entry)

Through the sadness attached to lack of sleep, energy drinks and a deadly amount of glucose, Bored2Death was born. Our 2015 GGJ entry prized in at 2nd place at the local competition missing 1st by one point. In this small game the player must take control of the blue and red character and assign them a variety of jobs to do around the house as the rain continues to pour outside. Should either of the characters' respective bar fill up with boredom too much they will unfortunately hang themselves: Game over.

Bored2Death never ventured any further than the Game Jam but it's quirky pixel style and unique somber theme was more than enough to give it a place in my showreel.

Face Chase - the beautiful chase

Face Chase (2014)

A gorgeous vector art infinite runner featuring over 40 upgrades. The player controls the yellow face character "Facey" running away from the forever looming "Chasey". Collecting coins, hopping over gaps and water the player must collect coins to upgrade their attributes and equipment. Due to the large nature of the unoptimised Vector graphics and lack of Flash support in browsers the game suffers dire frame rate issues unfortunately.

Vex - an intense platform ride

Vex (2012-Present)

An incredibly fast paced agile platformer featuring acrobats, swimming and certain death. Easy on the eyes but hard on the brain.

Vex started as a flash game and has since spawned two more incredibly successful flash sequels. Totalling 60 million plays collectively, it seemed wise to bring Vex to iOS and Android which will be releasing early 2016.
